Teen Arts is a free afterschool arts program for teens in grades 8–12 living in Erie County. Classes take place in our studios at 650 East Ave in Erie and are taught by professional artists using professional equipment and materials. Students of any skill level are welcome.

Teen Arts

Career

Grades 9-12

Monday @ 4-7 PM

Learn what it takes to work in an art or design job. Work on a team to create community art projects.

Teen Arts

Club

Grades 8-12

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday @ 4-7 PM

A positive social space where teens choose their own art projects, have access to professional equipment and learn from professional artists.

What Do Classes Look Like?

Doors Open

Hang Out With Friends

Chill with friends in the student lounge. Draw, play games, do homework, or just relax.

Meal Provided

A hot meal is available for every student.

Beautiful Environment

Relax in a safe beautiful space that is quiet and calm.

5-7 PM

Art Classes

Taught by Working Artists

Every instructor is a working artist. Learn from artists who are working in their field.

Small Classes Size

Class sizes are 8-10 students. You have lots of time to focus on your own projects and work with your instructor to get the support you need.

Professional Art Studios

Each art studio has professional equipment and tools. Learn to use what the professionals use.

Build Creative Confidence

Learn to solve problems that have no right answers and gain the confidence to share your skills with the world.

Dismissal

Students Leave Building

All students must leave the building by 7:30 PM. ECAT does not provide transportation.

On Bus Route

ECAT Wayne building is on bus Route 21 Lawerence Park on 6th and East Ave.

Mentorship in the Arts

Teen Arts is an arts mentorship program where teens work alongside professional artists and learn the craft of thinking and working as an artist. Classes take place in our four art studios, designed for small class instruction and equipped with professional grade equipment.

Registration

Your new voyage

If you are a student in grades 8 – 12 living in Erie County, you are eligible to attend the Teen Arts program. There is no cost to these programs.

Registration will begin August 6, 2024, for the Fall Season beginning September 10, 2024. Join our mailing list to receive updates on new classes and summer workshops.
