A free after-school arts program for teens in grades 9–12 living in Erie County. Classes take place in our studios at 650 East Ave in Erie and are taught by professional artists using professional equipment and materials.

Students of any skill level are welcome.

Mentorship in the Arts

Teen Arts is an arts mentorship program where teens work alongside professional artists and learn the craft of thinking and working as an artist. Classes take place in our four art studios, designed for small class instruction and equipped with professional grade equipment.

Program Details

Classes take place from 5 – 7 PM. Students may arrive at 4 PM. Students who arrive early can hang out in the student lounge and do homework or socialize until class starts. A small snack is provided.

The Teen Arts program is free and all supplies are included.

Classes are taught by professional artists. All instructors have clearances and mandated reporter training. Class sizes are limited to 8 students.

At 7 PM, students leave the building. ECAT does not provide transportation.

At the end of the semester, student work will be shown at the Student Art Show.


If you are a student in grades 9 – 12 living in Erie County, you are eligible to attend the Teen Arts program. There is no cost to these programs.

Registration for the Fall 2022 Season begins August 22, 2022.
