“Chilis”

Get lost in the tropics for the evening at the opening of the solo show “Chilis” by artist Ana Balcazar Bartra, hosted in the Community Room at Erie Center for Arts & Technology on February 25th, 5-7 PM. This art exhibition showcases 10 impressive acrylic canvas pieces depicting botanicals.

This special event showcases Ana’s most recent painting series which is inspired by her family´s chili garden in Erie, PA.

Bartra’s work will be displayed on the ground floor of the Wayne Building (650 East Avenue, Erie, PA 16503)
The exhibition is free and open to public viewing during regular business hours.

Ana Balcazar Bartra

Bartra (Lima, 1984) is a Peruvian visual artist and educator. Her main body of work is based on her life experiences, she uses landscape, nature and her body to express her identity through mural painting, canvas and illustrations.

Her art has been exhibited in Washington D.C., Berlin, California, México D.F. and in October 2021 her art was published in the virtual art magazine Ophelia. Explore her previous work below.
