The Art of Carpentry

Class begins April 15, 2026

A creative woodworking experience presented by the Bayfront Maritime Center in partnership with the Erie Center for Arts & Technology Construction Trades Program.

Curious about carpentry? Love working with your hands? The Art of Carpentry is a six-week introductory woodworking course designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and explore the craft of woodworking — no prior experience required.

This program is an opportunity to discover the satisfaction of making something from scratch in a supportive, hands-on environment.

What to Expect:

✨ Evening classes twice a week in BMC’s fully equipped woodshop
✨ Guidance from experienced instructors
✨ Hands-on experience with foundational woodworking tools and techniques
✨ Build your own custom wooden box to take home

Whether you’re exploring a new hobby, testing your interest in carpentry, or simply looking to create something meaningful, The Art of Carpentry is about learning the craft and enjoying the process.
