Produce on East Ave.
A project of the Wayne Health & Wealth Equity District in partnership with BUILD Community Development Corporation, this summer’s pop-up market will feature fresh produce from local farms in Erie, PA.
Our neighbors have indicated in a recent survey that fresh produce is a need in our community that is not being fully met. This market aims to be a small step in the direction of food sovereignty for the East Ave. community.
How it Works
We operate on a pay-what-you-can model with some items having a suggested donation amount. Other items will be available at no cost.
Produce will vary each market based on what’s in season and harvested by our farmers and gardeners.
Partners
Additional partners include Erie’s Public Schools Farm to School staff, Wild Field Urban Farm, and the local home gardeners that generously share their produce with us.
