What do you call us?
ECAT
We’re the Erie Center for Arts & Technology!
- Always use the ampersand (the “&” symbol) in our name.
- The “the” isn’t capitalized before our name.
- Our acronym is “ECAT”.
- “ErieCAT” is our privately licensed school name, registered with the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
ECAT Wayne
We call the building at 650 East Ave. “ECAT Wayne”, it is a separate entity from the Erie Center for Arts & Technology.
- We sometimes refer to it as a “campus” because it encompasses ECAT and many other nonprofits.
- “Old Wayne School”: the colloquial name for the building, which used to be Wayne Middle School, and before that, School No. 12.
ECAT Logo
This is the primary ECAT logo mark and it includes the subheader “Erie Center for Arts & Technology”. This logo can be used online and print. Logos should be equidistant from design edges and kept clear of competing text, images, and graphics.

Simple icons
The simple icon logo should be used only when the default is too visually complex. When this logo is used, “Erie Center for Arts & Technology” should be identified elsewhere in text.
